GTA has always been about the vehicles as much as the characters. GTA VI's trailers have revealed an impressive range of transportation options across land, sea, and air. Here's every vehicle type we've confirmed.
Cars and Trucks
Sports Cars and Supercars
Multiple high-performance vehicles have been spotted in trailer footage, including what appear to be GTA equivalents of modern supercars. The vehicle models show significantly improved detail over GTA V, with realistic reflections, dynamic damage, and more authentic proportions. Expect exotic cars befitting Vice City's wealthy elite.
Muscle Cars
Classic American muscle has a strong showing in the trailers. Several vehicles resemble modern interpretations of iconic muscle cars β fitting for a game set in America's most car-obsessed state. The lowrider meet scene in Trailer 1 confirms that car culture will be celebrated in GTA VI.
Everyday Vehicles
SUVs, sedans, pickup trucks, and utility vehicles populate the streets of Vice City. The variety of civilian vehicles appears greater than any previous GTA game, with each neighborhood seemingly having appropriate vehicle types β luxury cars in Brickell, work trucks in rural areas, and tourist rentals near the beaches.
Off-Road Vehicles
The motocross track confirmed in Trailer 1 suggests dirt bikes and off-road vehicles will feature prominently. The Grassrivers swamplands and rural areas could also support ATVs and mud-ready trucks.
Watercraft
Jet Skis
Featured prominently in trailer footage, jet skis appear to be a major transportation option. In a map surrounded by water with multiple islands, personal watercraft make perfect sense for both transportation and chase sequences.
Speedboats
Multiple speedboats have been spotted, consistent with Vice City's marina culture. The Leonida Keys' boat marinas suggest a wide variety of watercraft will be available for purchase or theft.
Fishing and Work Boats
The Keys and Grassrivers regions show smaller vessels suited to fishing and local transportation. These add authenticity to the coastal communities.
Aircraft
Helicopters
At least one helicopter has been spotted in trailer footage. Given Vice City's skyline and the need for aerial views of the map, helicopters are a near-certainty for both missions and free roam.
Commercial Aircraft
Vice City International Airport is speculated to exist, which would imply commercial planes. Whether players can pilot them or they serve as ambient traffic remains to be seen.
Vehicle Physics and Customization
The trailer footage suggests dramatically improved vehicle physics. Cars appear to have more realistic weight distribution, suspension behavior, and crash deformation. The lowrider meet scene hints at extensive vehicle customization options β potentially exceeding GTA V's already robust Los Santos Customs system.
What We're Still Waiting to See
- Submarines β Given the underwater potential, submersible vehicles seem likely
- Military vehicles β Tanks, APCs, and military aircraft
- Unique vehicles β Airboats for the Grassrivers, perhaps?
- Electric vehicles β A modern Vice City should feature EVs
We'll continue cataloging every vehicle spotted as more footage emerges. Check our locations page for transport-related landmarks.
